Dear Parents
We are so pleased to be able to welcome all the children back to school on 8th March. In preparation for the full return to school we have reviewed all our policies and practices to ensure that we are as COVID safe as we can be. This includes class bubbles, staggered start and finish times as well as lunchtimes, a one way system in and out of school and increased cleaning of all areas.
It has been a very strange time for everyone and our main concern for the next few weeks is building the children’s confidence and re-engaging them with school life and their learning. There is a definite sense of hope that this is the start of the continued opening of school which is much needed to give the children a sense of belonging and normality to their young lives.
I’m sure that you want to help us keep the school environment as safe as possible and ask that you read the published guidelines to ensure you know the procedures to follow.
Social distancing expectations:
•All adults entering the school site must wear a face covering, if you are exempt we ask that you wear the lanyard to identify this.
•Outside of the classroom, as much as is reasonably possible, it is expected that everyone will keep socially distancing and respect each other’s space.
•Inside of the classroom, everyone will be expected keep areas clean, tidy and properly wiped down on a regular basis. Equipment will be carefully chosen and cleaned regularly.
•When leaving the school at the end of the day, we respectfully ask that families keep your distance and do not gather inside or outside the school gates.
In all cases common sense will be used for the safety and wellbeing of all.
You can help us by:
•Reminding your children to wash their hands and demonstrate good hygiene
•Keeping your child at home if they seem unwell
•Informing us of any illness which could potentially be Covid-19 i.e. loss of taste/smell, temperature, new persistent cough
•Ensuring government and school guidelines are followed
•Communicating via telephone/email and avoiding coming into the school office
